Zodiac sign

A zodiac sign is one of the twelve 30-degree sectors of the zodiac, from Aries to Pisces, each associated with an element, a mode and a ruling planet. In everyday speech, a person's “sign” means the sun sign, the one the Sun occupied at birth. Astrologers point out that a natal chart contains many other active signs, starting with those of the rising sign and the Moon, which greatly qualifies general portraits.
