Reiki
Also Usui Reiki · Reiki practitioner
Reiki is an energy healing practice of Japanese origin, founded by Mikao Usui in the early 1920s. The word combines rei, “spirit” or “universal,” and ki, “life energy.” The practitioner places the hands on or near the body to pass on, according to the method, an energy said to promote balance. It is taught through successive levels of attunement. Reiki may bring relaxation; it does not replace medical advice or treatment.
