Energy healing refers to any practice that claims to act on a person’s subtle energy in order to rebalance it: laying on of hands, chakra work, Reiki, magnetic healing. These practices can bring relaxation and comfort. Their own therapeutic effectiveness has not been demonstrated: they never replace a medical diagnosis or treatment, and stopping a treatment on their advice is a serious danger.
