Redrawing

Redrawing means doing another reading on the same question shortly after the first, often because the answer was unwelcome or seemed unclear. Most tarot readers advise against it: piling up readings ends up muddling the meaning and feeding anxiety. They recommend instead exploring the first reading in more depth, adding a clarifying card, or letting some time pass before asking the question again.
