Reading

A reading is the act of interpreting a spread, that is, putting into words what the cards, their positions and their relationships evoke in relation to the question asked. The word also refers to the session itself: a tarot reading is spoken of the way one speaks of a consultation. A good reading combines knowledge of symbolism, attention to the links between cards and careful listening to the querent.
