Meditation

Meditation is a practice of attention training that consists of focusing the mind on an object, such as the breath, a sound or an image, or simply observing whatever arises. Found in Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and Sufi traditions, it also exists in secular forms. Its effects on stress are the subject of serious research. It readily accompanies the practice of clairvoyance, but it does not replace treatment when a disorder has set in.
