Communication with the deceased refers to practices through which a medium says they receive messages from people who have died: images, sensations, words or memories passed on to the querent. It is often sought during grief. A sound approach handles it with tact, without exploiting sorrow or multiplying paid sessions; it is no substitute for the time grieving takes, nor for help from a professional when the pain becomes too heavy.
