Ace (cartomancy)

In cartomancy with ordinary playing cards, the ace is the highest card of each suit, marking an important event, a beginning or a central place. The French tradition gives it well-established meanings: the ace of hearts for home and hearth, the ace of diamonds for a letter or news, the ace of clubs for success or gain, the ace of spades for a defining ordeal or a clear-cut decision.
