Sibilla
Also Sibilla oracle · Sibilla della Zingara · Italian Sibilla
The Sibilla is an Italian oracle of 52 cards that appeared in the nineteenth century, in which each card combines an illustrated scene with the indication of an ordinary playing card. Its images depict characters (the lover, the widow, the soldier), emotions and events (joy, betrayal, the journey). Still widely used in Italy, where it is often read in spreads of five or nine cards, it belongs to the same generation of popular oracles as the Petit Lenormand and the Kipper cards.
