Modern oracle

Modern oracle refers to the large family of divination card decks created since the late twentieth century, each built around a theme: animals, goddesses, fairies, the moon, plants, crystals, ancestors… The number of cards is up to the creator, often between 36 and 60, and their meanings are set by the author in a guidebook. They favor reflection, introspection and advice over prediction. Their success owes much to the quality of their artwork and to their accessibility, but their worth depends heavily on the care put into each creation.
