Angel oracles

Angel oracles are card decks depicting angels, archangels or heavenly messages, designed to offer gentle, kindly guidance rather than to predict events. Popularized in the 1990s and 2000s, notably by the American author Doreen Virtue, they often pair an image, an angel's name and a short phrase of encouragement. Their users draw them for a meditation, an intention for the day or a piece of advice. They belong more to personal spirituality than to traditional cartomancy.
