Celtic oracle

Celtic oracle refers to modern oracles inspired by Celtic imagery: sacred trees, Irish and Welsh deities, mythical animals, seasonal festivals such as Samhain or Beltane. Their cards pair an image with a symbolic teaching drawn from legend. These decks are contemporary creations: very little is known about the actual divinatory practices of the Celtic peoples, and reading them is a matter of inspiration rather than historical reconstruction. They should not be confused with ogham, an ancient alphabet sometimes used in divination.
