Neptune (astrology)

In astrology, Neptune symbolizes ideals, dreams, inspiration, compassion and spirituality, but also illusion, confusion and the temptation to escape. Discovered in 1846 by Johann Galle, based on calculations by Urbain Le Verrier, it was assigned to Pisces by modern astrologers. Its cycle lasts about one hundred sixty-five years, or nearly fourteen years per sign, which gives it a generational character.
