Twin flame
Also twin flames · twin soul
In contemporary spirituality, a twin flame is the other half of a single soul said to have split into two incarnations. Distinct from a soulmate, the twin-flame relationship is described as intense and unsettling, made of reunions and separations. The notion spread mainly online from the 2000s onward. It is sometimes used to justify a painful relationship or to sell costly coaching: no suffering has to be endured in the name of a supposed destiny.
