Key card

In tarot reading, the key card is the card in a reading that the reader considers decisive for understanding the whole: often a Major Arcana card, a card placed at the center or one that answers the question directly. How it is chosen depends on the method used or on the reader’s judgment. It serves as an anchor point for linking the other cards and forming a coherent synthesis.
