Cancer

Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac, covering in tropical astrology the period from about June 21 or 22 to July 22. A water sign, cardinal and feminine, it is ruled by the Moon; Jupiter is exalted there. It opens the summer. Tradition associates it with sensitivity, imagination, attachment to family and home, memory and a protective instinct. Its supposed downside is touchiness, nostalgia and withdrawal into oneself. It corresponds to the 4th house.
