Tarot Nouveau

The Tarot Nouveau is the standard tarot pattern used in France for card games since the late nineteenth century, with trumps showing scenes of bourgeois life and the suits of ordinary playing cards: hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades. It does not include the allegorical figures of the Tarot de Marseille arcana. A few card readers use it, but it remains above all a card game.
