Witchcraft
Also witch · sorcery · witchery
Witchcraft refers to the set of practices attributed to witches and sorcerers, believed to act on people and things through supernatural means. In Europe, it was the target of major witch hunts between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries, which claimed tens of thousands of victims. Since the twentieth century, the word has been reclaimed by neopagan and feminist movements, which make it a nature-based spirituality.
