Moon sign

The Moon sign is the zodiac sign occupied by the Moon at the moment of birth. Since the Moon changes sign roughly every two and a half days, the time of birth is often needed to determine it with certainty. Astrologers read it as the expression of sensitivity, emotional needs, emotional reflexes and one's relationship to inner security, complementing the sun sign.
