Rephrasing the question
Also reframing the question · clarifying the question
Rephrasing the question is the step in which the reader helps the querent sharpen or redirect their request before drawing. This may mean turning a closed question into an open one, refocusing on what lies within the person’s control, or setting aside a question about health, death or other people’s secret intentions. This exchange is a mark of seriousness and respect in a consultation.
