Crystal cleansing

In crystal healing, crystal cleansing is the ritual meant to rid a mineral of the energies it has supposedly absorbed, before “recharging” it. Common methods are water, smoke, sound, earth or a quartz cluster; the stone is then recharged in sunlight or moonlight. Some stones are damaged by water or salt, and others fade in the sun: caution applies to the mineral itself as well.
