Lemniscate

The lemniscate is the curve shaped like a sideways figure eight that serves as the symbol of infinity. In tarot, it can be recognized in the shape of the hats worn by the Magician (Le Bateleur) and by Strength in the Tarot de Marseille; the Rider-Waite-Smith draws it plainly above the heads of the Magician and Strength. Depending on the interpreter, it stands for inexhaustible energy, a continuous flow between two poles, mastery or eternity.
