Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune is Major Arcanum X of the tarot. It shows a wheel turned by a crank, around which revolve half-human, half-animal creatures, one of them crowned at the top. Upright, it symbolizes change, cycles, an opportunity to seize and the movement of life. Reversed, it is read as a blockage, a setback, the repetition of the same patterns or a period of waiting. According to the tradition, it is a reminder that nothing stays fixed.
