Jean Noblet
Also Jean Noblet Tarot · Noblet
Jean Noblet was a Parisian cardmaker responsible for one of the oldest Marseille-type tarots to survive complete or nearly so, dated to the mid-seventeenth century, around 1650. His deck, held by the Bibliothèque nationale de France, shows archaic features that later editions altered. Several contemporary restorations draw on it to recover a form considered closer to the origins of the pattern.
