Court cards

The court cards are the sixteen Minor Arcana cards that depict figures: Page, Knight, Queen and King in each of the four suits. The tarot has one more court card than ordinary playing cards, the Knight. In a reading, they can stand for someone in the querent's circle, a character trait or an attitude to adopt, depending on the reader's method. They are often considered the hardest cards to interpret.
