Knight

The Knight is the tarot court card shown on horseback, ranked between the Page and the Queen and absent from ordinary playing cards. The Tarot de Marseille calls it the Cavalier; the Thoth deck, which reshuffles the ranks, makes it the Prince. In tarot reading, it embodies movement, mission and the passage from one state to another: it carries the energy of its suit outward. It is often associated with travel, news or a quest.
