Spanish cartomancy is divination with the baraja española, a 40- or 48-card deck with Latin suits: oros (coins), copas (cups), espadas (swords) and bastos (clubs). Widespread in Spain and Latin America, it gives each card its own meaning, with cups speaking of feelings, coins of money, swords of conflict and clubs of work or effort. Its suits make it look much like the Minor Arcana of the tarot.
