Hello, my queen of the night
First of all, please accept all my best wishes for 2009; may it bring you the very best.
Well, a very rare thing for me, this morning, I had a dream that I remember.
I am at my desk (a job I voluntarily left in 1992). I was the sole person in this administrative position.
I received a phone call from my head office manager, who asked me to go there because the permanent staff are sick, so I can cover their duties and address the most urgent matters.
When I get there, she tells me to sit down, and strangely, something I don’t understand, my former colleague is there, faithful to her post, so not sick. She shows me an empty desk for me, but it’s covered in spilled drinks, like syrup.
Instead of going to get the cleaning supplies herself (she knows the place), she vaguely points me in the right direction and continues chatting with one of her colleagues, who completely ignored me (not even a hello).
There, I’m heading in a direction without really knowing where I am, in a place that’s half under construction, where I pass by the changing rooms. Where there should be toilets and a simple washbasin, where I would have expected to find a sponge, there are toilet gloves, bath towels spread out, and a sort of bathroom where colleagues would come to relax.
I finally find a tiny sponge and go clean that damn desk.
But in the end, I do absolutely nothing all day long, because there is nothing to do; even the colleagues do nothing.
In that same large room under construction, lunch is served, without any set time.
In fact, everyone comes and goes in a state of complete inaction, engaging in various leisure activities that have nothing to do with our job.
I eventually sit down for a while at one end on a sort of wooden terrace, to breathe the fresh air, as it is sunny over the park in front of this wing of the building.
I turn back toward the center of the room, going around the construction materials left behind by the workers.
Nobody pays attention to anyone. It’s like a transit place completely outside of reality.
I really didn't understand why I was brought here, since I didn't do anything other than notice that there are a lot of staff but nothing to do.
On top of that, I spent the whole day being completely transparent to the others who passed by me, ignoring me as if they couldn’t see me. (Did they even see each other when they crossed paths?)
I felt out of time, out of touch with reality, completely weird.
I should have stayed in my campaign office.
There you go, my dear, I haven't even tried to understand this dream; I'm leaving it entirely up to you.
Big kisses.
