Arcana pairs
Also paired arcana · mirror arcana
Arcana pairs are connections drawn by tarot readers between two Major Arcana that echo each other through their theme or number: The High Priestess and The Hierophant, The Empress and The Emperor, The Sun and The Moon, or cards whose numbers differ by ten, such as the Magician and the Wheel of Fortune. These correspondences help deepen the meaning of each card and present the arcana as a system rather than a list.
