Active number

The active number is the reduced sum of the letters of the everyday first name alone. In French-language numerology, it represents how a person behaves day to day and in close relationships, where that first name is spoken. It is read alongside the hereditary number, drawn from the family name: one would express the individual as they assert themselves, the other the family heritage they carry.
