Karma
Also karmic · karmic debt
In Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, karma is the law whereby every action produces consequences that return to the one who performed it, in this life or another. The Sanskrit word means “action.” In the West, it is often reduced to a kind of cosmic justice or “what goes around comes around.” In clairvoyance, people speak of karmic ties or karmic debts to describe hardships perceived as inherited from past lives; caution is advised, however, with anyone selling the “cleansing” of a karma.
