Astral body

In occultism and Theosophy, the astral body is one of the subtle bodies of the human being, believed to be the seat of emotions and desires. According to these doctrines, it could temporarily separate from the physical body during sleep or certain practices, which is known as astral travel. The adjective “astral” borrows its image from the stars and refers here to a subtle plane of existence, unrelated to astrology.
