Crown chakra

Also Sahasrara · seventh chakra

The crown chakra, Sahasrara in Sanskrit, is the seventh and last of the main chakras, located at the top of the head. Its name means “thousand-petaled,” a reference to the lotus that symbolizes it. Tradition makes it the center of spiritual consciousness and of union with the divine or the whole. In the West it is associated with violet or white. In Kundalini yoga, it is the culmination point of the awakened energy. These correspondences are no substitute for medical advice.
