Birth card

The birth card is the Major Arcana card associated with a person through their date of birth, by adding up the day, month and year and then reducing the total to a number within the range of the twenty-two cards. Tarot readers who use it see in it a symbolic figure of the personality or of one’s path. Calculation methods differ from author to author. It is a tool for self-reflection, not a destiny fixed by numbers.
