Dreaming of a deceased loved one

As I mentioned at the end of my email about the three-part dream, I wanted to share with you a series of dreams I had following the death of the great love of my life in 1965. He died as a result of a car accident. He lived for two days after the accident; when I saw him in the hospital, he was in a full-body cast. I could only see his face, as the rest of his head was wrapped due to two skull fractures. He was in a coma and opened his eyes when I came to his bedside for just a few minutes.

After his death, I dreamed about him almost every night. At first, I saw him as just a skeleton and I was very afraid, and it took quite a while, maybe months, before I saw him the way I had seen him in the hospital, as a living being. Over the years, he healed in my dreams. I first saw him with all his bandages, then I saw him in a wheelchair, unable to walk. Then I saw him doing exercises to relearn how to walk, to speak, and so on. I had the impression of experiencing the progression of his healing in my dreams.

It must have taken about five years before I saw him fully healed, living a normal life as before the accident, but every time I saw him, he was always out of reach; there was always an obstacle to our meeting. It is true that I had another man in my life and in my dreams, and he also had another woman in his life, but despite this, we always had that great love that united us, that intense gaze from which I could hardly detach myself.

Several times in my life I have consulted psychics, and all of them, without exception, brought it up right at the beginning of the session. It was the first thing they told me. Each time, they told me they could see a man near me who was protecting me. In 1990, someone told me: “He has been by your side for 25 years.” It has been more than 40 years now, and I am still told that he is there.

I have often heard that when people die tragically in an accident, they remain for a long time before ascending into the light. Do you think that is possible? It seems to me that there must be something else to do on the other side than staying by my side, right? What do you think?

The feeling I experienced reading your dream is one of such powerful love, your love, the love that has never died in your heart, that it managed to transcend death.

Your love for him is so strong that, through your dreams, you continued to keep him alive, thus visualizing in your dreams his healing and his return to normal physical activities. In this way, you were giving him life back, something you would have so much wanted to happen.

Yes, it is true that a tragic death, whether by accident or illness (which was the case with my late husband), means that in some way our beloved departed refuse this state, and it is therefore difficult for them to leave the earth and let their souls ascend to the light. Indeed, they have something to do on the other side, and in order to help them ascend, we must pray, tell them that it is time to go, and ask that their souls go to the light. This is not easy, because in some way we feel reassured by their presence, but we are not helping them, nor are we helping ourselves. One must strongly will it spiritually to achieve this. If I may, Rose, I will tell you about my own experience and that of my son. Over twelve years, I had to do this several times: pray and ask my late husband to leave and go to the light. My husband would regularly manifest himself, and I did not understand why, because I had poured all my love and spirituality into helping him. After a few years, I realized that my son was holding him back because he did not accept his absence and wanted him for himself. I advised my son to pray with me to help his father. At first, he did not want to, but then he agreed. I believe that this has now freed his father’s soul. In the face of this beautiful testimony, I would like to talk to you about the types of dreams. The further we advance in spiritual growth, the more frequent dreams become and, above all, the better we can interpret them. In simplifying, we can say that there are two types of dreams. The first type is very frequent, especially at the beginning of the journey. Dreams of this type allow us to clean up our personal file. In these dreams, we can meet all kinds of characters, known or unknown, who lead us to become aware of certain aspects of our personality. Each character in the dream inspires a certain psychological profile in us and subtly indicates which realities we must modify or correct within ourselves. Often, these are aspects whose existence we did not even suspect within ourselves: but upon a little reflection, we recognize them very well. Exactly, you followed his journey in your dream, his path, and it is also a sign for you that you were healing from your deep emotional wound... as above, so below... Perhaps these dreams were meant to tell you: look at the damage caused by your pain; this grief has created a battlefield within you... all of this because your consciousness is open... this dream showed you what you had done on the subtle plane... you were able to witness this person's healing and, at the same time, your own.

Earlier, I spoke about two types of dreams: first, our dreams serve to clean up our personal file; and when a person receives spiritual help, it is because they have worked on themselves, asked for help, and/or their personal program corresponds to it. They receive a Divine grace. It is important to channel our requests. We invoke the qualities of the Most High and/or of His celestial army.

Helping on a physical level is very good. Our ultimate goal in this world is to become altruistic and fraternal, to help one another, but the more we purify ourselves, the more we gain access to the world of causes. Eventually, we understand the workings of the Universe, and the dynamics of God are revealed to us. We can even participate in this dynamics through OUR DREAMS.

Let us speak of the second type of dream, known as participatory. Because it allows us to work on the codification of the software or program of the being, it is only accessible once we reach a high level of purity. In dreams of this type, we are authorized to participate in the dynamics of the Universe. We become a link in a whole chain of guides who live in parallel worlds. This is real metaphysical work. This work also invites us to great humility, for through it we come to realize that it is a team effort. When an incarnate being acquires the ability to do this work, they realize that if they are not the one to perform a given spiritual action, another guide will take on that responsibility, as the program is pre-established. The evolutionary objectives foreseen by this great Intelligence must be achieved.

The incarnated being who performs this spiritual work through their dreams is a SERVANT. They are an EXECUTOR who participates in the Divine Creation, if I may put it that way. They help other people by visiting them in the parallel worlds. The symbolic language of participatory dreams is the same as that of dreams concerning our individual purification.

When we do this dream work, we see the results every day: the person's state is shown to us, or we meet them and can track the progress that the spiritual work has brought about. For the one who practices it, the help becomes an absolute reality and truth.

But how does this work? How is this assistance provided?
It is as if we were modifying a program on a computer. The celestial computer will send the person a greater energetic potential, new ideas, social opportunities, etc. Living spiritual guides in parallel worlds will accompany this person wherever they go and help them modify their way of thinking so that the new programming materializes, so that they embody it.

Through this somewhat simplified explanation, we see how the Universe works. We see that when we help a person on the spiritual plane, we are part of a team dynamic. It is an impersonal task for which we set no conditions. We do not talk about it either: most of the time, we do not even tell anyone that we have helped them. The greatest discretion is required.

When we become accustomed to reading signs, a day comes when we are no longer blinded by the material side of things. If we have doubts, we use everything at our disposal, concretely, or we ask in dreams. We pose the question: Is this the right direction? and we wait for the signs with a receptive attitude. The answer will come in one way or another. When we integrate this Knowledge, we realize that the Creator (God) truly exists.

Josy77, I just want to clarify that I never did anything to keep him around; in fact, at first, if I had known he was there, I would have been scared, because I wasn’t open to these things before and they used to scare me a lot.

I learned several years ago that one should not hold them back. I have a brother who died in 1990 in a tragic accident, and he came to visit me the week after his death. I sent him toward the light, and I was not afraid either when he manifested himself very clearly. He must have understood, because he never came back. I did not experience this kind of phenomenon with my deceased lover. I only saw him in my dreams.
