my son's future

Hello,
After 4 years away, I’m returning to the site with major changes in my life and many questions, the most important one for now being my eldest son.
I’ll briefly explain the situation:
His father, who has not really taken care of him until now, has just been granted custody, which he requested (I assume for reasons related to child support). Since our separation ten years ago, he has indulged all of his whims and turned him into an unmanageable teenager. It is difficult to push back and establish the necessary frustrations for his development in such a situation!
The fact is that today my son chose the easy way and went to live with his father, who loves him and buys him whatever he wants (I am, of course, the wicked mother who sets limits and boundaries).
So I wonder how my 16-year-old son will adjust to his new life with his father and, more recently, a new stepmother?

The relationship between your son and his father will go well, but the catch is that over time he may start to think he can get away with anything, and that’s where things might get stuck, so at some point your ex will also need to set him straight. But overall, it will be fine.
