Do you think we will end up selling the house or moving? We want to stay, but the complications with our uncle’s guardianship are making us give up.

I understand that your spouse wants to give up, because even though your uncle will remain under guardianship, or has debts that need to be repaid, it’s still not you who will be paying off his debts…
I see you as having the power or the possibility to move, but from there to actually being able to buy that uncle’s house, frankly, that’s not on the agenda.
