baby...

Machine translation.

Hello The Magician! !

I’m getting back to you with some news, as I had promised in my last message.

After several difficult but essential and ultimately beneficial conversations, my partner and I decided to have this baby.
However, I am quite stressed by all the precautions to take during pregnancy, particularly regarding diet, and by the fact that we have a cat and I am not immune to toxoplasmosis.
And my boyfriend is anxious because I won’t be able to work for a while. He’s worried that we won’t have enough money to cover the baby’s various needs, which adds to my own stress about the pregnancy, the delivery, and what comes after.
For now, everything is going well (I’m entering my fourth month, and the ultrasound shows the baby is developing well), except that I’ve had two ear infections one after the other.
Can you give me your clairvoyance regarding the course of my pregnancy and delivery?
Any complications in sight or not?
Here are my figures:

21-16-10

We had planned (well before I got pregnant) to go to Brazil, to Rio de Janeiro (departing on July 25 and returning on August 6). So I had bought my ticket, but I can no longer get vaccinated against yellow fever, dengue, and hepatitis A because it poses a risk to the baby.
I’m hesitant to leave even though I’m losing more than 1,000 euros (since being pregnant doesn’t fall under the ticket refund clauses). ).
Is it a good idea to take this trip? Will I catch one of those diseases there or not?
My figures:
16-7-10
Otherwise, I have been scheduled to defend my art therapy thesis on June 30.
I'm feeling rather anxious and sluggish at the moment, but I'd like to complete my year of training (art therapy and master's in psychoanalysis).
My anxiety paralyzes me a lot, and my concentration is not at its best. I wonder if I will be able to handle my oral exam on June 30.
Will I get the certification or not?
My figures:

4-18-20.

I hope I’m not asking too much, but I figure that with your insight, I’ll know whether I’m right to be worried and stressed or not.

I’m getting back into meditation and the gym, and I’ll start yoga soon to learn how to relax ;).
I hope you are doing well, and I thank you again for your last two messages, which helped me see things more clearly and distinguish between the different factors so that I could make the best decision.
Warm regards,
Have a good late afternoon!

Dora.

Hello Dora!

You and your partner made the right decision in wanting this baby.
Having a first child is always stressful for expectant parents, and I would say that is more than a normal attitude.
Being pregnant is not an illness; as for precautions, you need rest when you feel it, and as for food, keep eating as usual while avoiding excesses, of course, and you must avoid alcohol and cigarettes, yes!
As for your cat, you should start by getting it vaccinated, and you yourself should also get vaccinated against the risk of toxoplasmosis.
When you give birth, the company you work for will presumably grant you maternity leave, or in principle you should be able to continue receiving your salary; look into this matter…
Let your boyfriend rest assured, you will not be short on money and will be able to provide for your child's needs.
Try not to stress, especially during this pregnancy period; life will continue its course in a positive way, and with an extra smile—your baby’s!
Another piece of information: ear infections have no impact on pregnancy.
Regarding the rest of your pregnancy and your upcoming delivery, I can only tell you positive things: to be clear, everything will go well, and you just need to stay in touch with your gynecologist.
As for the trip to Brazil, you are just entering your fourth month of pregnancy, and by July 25 you will be in your fifth month with a 12-day stay in Brazil, so in my opinion and according to my feelings, you will make this trip and not catch any illness there.
Even though I’m not a doctor, I still recommend that you discuss this trip with your gynecologist, as it’s better to have a professional’s opinion on the matter!
And on the other hand, given your ongoing pregnancy, I don't think you're going to go there to dance samba...
You are a woman with an anxious nature, often stressed over trivial things; in short, you are the type who is always worried. You will complete your training and see yourself pass the oral exam on June 30 and obtain your certification.
Good idea, those yoga and meditation sessions will help you relax.
To answer your question, yes, I’m doing well… thank you!
Take good care of yourself, stay cool and positive, and everything will turn out for the best!

Have a good late afternoon and see you soon
Warm regards

Hello, The Magician!

I warmly thank you for your clairvoyance!
That reassures me :-))!!
As for the trip to Brazil, a friend is looking into dengue through a friend of hers who lives in Rio.
However, my boyfriend believes there is a potential risk and advises me to try to get a refund for the plane ticket.
I mentioned it to the hospital gynecologist, who issued me a certificate in case there is indeed a resurgence of dengue in Rio at the moment.
We'll see, then.
Otherwise, I have been unemployed since the end of 2012, so my unemployment benefits have been extended until the end of my parental leave. I will start working after that.
Since I work with young children at my home (as a childminder, educator, and art therapist for toddlers), I plan to resume my self-employed activity around the fifth month of my baby’s life, if possible.
I'll keep you posted about the trip to Brazil, which is currently on hold for me.
For my certification, I have to prepare for the oral exam, but I am more confident thanks to your clairvoyance.
I will keep you informed after June 30.
Thank you for your attention and insights, and I wish you a wonderful day and all the best!

Kind regards,

Dora.

Hello Dora!

As I saw on the internet, there is indeed a risk of a dengue epidemic expected in Brazil, so the risk is not negligible, especially since apparently there is no effective vaccine against it.
Go check the Google pages on "Dengue in Brazil"
My advice is that it is better to preserve your health and that of the baby to come.
With the doctor’s certificate, you should be able to get a refund for your plane ticket.
Take care of yourself and return to work after your parental leave; what matters is that you don’t lose your unemployment benefits.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Have a good end of the afternoon
Sincerely

The magician.

Hello,

Yes, I will continue to look into it. But I hope to get a refund for the ticket.

I'll keep you posted.

Thank you for your attention, and see you soon!

Very nice day B) !!
