Dear Catherine…
I will stick to the symbolism of the dream, otherwise I risk getting lost… lol
First, divide your dream into parts
The first part of your dream is an introduction to the dream's subject. It always starts from a subject you are familiar with and sets the tone for an event.
The second part of your dream reveals a battlefield for a feeling or involvement that is preparing itself in the near future. It is the moment usually chosen to react.
The third part can teach you a great deal about yourself and about how you face life’s events. It is the conclusion, the final resolution. How do you come out of it?
Last night I dreamed that a friend’s husband (recently married) was shot dead (twice).
Start of the dream:
Famous man: this man is a part of you (inner man/action) gets shot with two bullets. The bullet is a masculine principle, two bullets (duality between action and passivity represented by the woman). The bullet hits the man twice. Dichotomy in action. The woman in your dream is also a part of you (feminine principle) as if you had to find balance in your polarities and also in real life. It is a battle, Catherine, of your polarities (feminine and masculine).
The bullet awakens your inner man or simply kills him with two bullets… (action) The woman in your dream is a symbol for you to discover. She is an aspect of your present life. Your dream informs you about the true relationship you have with yourself. This woman is also a universal lunar symbol.
Man is a solar symbol (the inner man), your masculine principle… how do you treat this inner man? By putting two bullets in him?
Second part of your dream
I just thought to myself: poor thing, she's pregnant and already has two kids, what is she going to do?
The third part of your dream: I was afraid for her when she was going to discover the body…
I'll leave the rest to you so you can simmer it a bit...
