Actually, he no longer lives with his ex; she found someone else and is living with them, and they have children together. That’s why I’d like him to open up more, even though he tells me not to worry about anything.

If Sergio's partner is already living with someone else, I think the divorce is dragging on because of a possible child custody or alimony issue that he has to deal with, and I believe that's what's weighing on him and what he doesn't really want to talk about, but rest assured, he will eventually open up and confide in you.
