I need help with my work
Here is the current situation: I work in an automotive company. Since May, my manager has promoted me; I am now a monitor, responsible for a group of three people.
But I only have the role, and it’s not working out; I don’t feel in my element, and I work with people I don’t get along with. I spoke with my manager and told him I wanted a different career path, because I’m motivated and don’t want to go backwards. I want to move forward; I recently learned that they were going to eliminate a monitor position, so I want to take the opportunity to leave. I want to find my place in this company, make a living, and feel comfortable in my own skin.
I recently learned that they’re hiring at a place with a decent reputation, and I’m interested, but I don’t want to end up in a situation worse than today’s.
The right question is: will I find my place in this place?
