One day, someone whispered: "Lord, speak to me!"
And a bird sang. But the person did not hear it.
Then she cried out: "Lord, speak to me!"
And the thunder rolled across the sky. But that person did not listen.
She looked around and said: "Lord, let me see you!"
And a star twinkled in the sky, but it did not live.
And she cried out: "Lord, show me a miracle!"
And a life was born! But that same person did not notice.
Then, she cried out in despair:
Touch me, Lord, and let me see that you are here.
With that, God reached her and touched her. But she brushed the butterfly away and went on her way…
It reminds me greatly
that God is always near us in the simple little things
that we take for granted even in the electronic age.
