Hello,
Respect is a much-neglected virtue.
Respect is vital space.
When we do not respect ourselves, we open doors and windows,
and this in various aspects of our being, and these spaces fill up
And these spaces become the disrespect others show toward us.
It is within us, within each of us, that the key to respect lies.
One can never blame the other for their lack of respect.
Lack of respect for others is always rooted in a lack of respect for ourselves.
Respect is the survival of the being.
Respect is a form of self-love.
That is not to say that we do not welcome the other, but we welcome them near us, not within us.
Respect always calls for respect.
And respect is greatly needed by the being.
When you show someone your respect,
This person feels empowered, this person feels understood.
Expressions of respect that stem from love always stir in those
who receive them, greater self-respect.
Respect admires what is and lets it live.
Respect receives the beauty of the other and allows that beauty to live and develop without seeking to possess it.
When two forms of respect coexist, love is born.
Respect travels side by side, never interpenetrating.
That is not to say that bodies cannot come together,
that emotions cannot brush against one another
that thoughts cannot overlap across the vast spaces,
but always, there is room for each being
may it develop in its essence,
so that each being may continue to recognize itself
