Hi everyone, a friend sent me this very nice little text, and I’m allowing myself to share it with you. Sandra;)
I don't know if I'm in the right section lol
After 21 years of marriage, I began to find a new spark of love.
For a while now, I’ve been seeing another woman besides my wife, and… it was my wife’s idea; she told me one day, “I know exactly how much you love her!”
The woman my wife wanted me to go out with was… my mother…
who has been a widow for 19 years but…
Due to everyday activities, my three children, and other responsibilities, I rarely visited him.
One day I called him and invited him to dinner… she asked me: “Are you okay?” She wasn’t used to getting calls from me at this hour.
She got worried, but I reassured her: “Yes, I’m doing very, very well, but I just wanted to spend some time with you, Mom.”
"Us two, alone?" she asked; she thought for a moment and then replied: "Yes, I like that!"
On Thursday, after work, I went to her place to pick her up... I was a bit nervous...
When I got to her place, I found her just as disturbed.
She was waiting for me in front of the door… in a beautiful dress!
It seems that was the last dress my father had bought her… before his death.
With an angelic smile, Mom says to me:
I told everyone that today I’m going out with my son. They’re all happy and eagerly waiting to hear what I’ll tell them when I get back.
We went to an exceptional, quiet, and beautiful restaurant...
My mother held my arm as if she were the First Lady.
We were sitting down, and I started reading the menu because she could only read large print.
As I was reading, she gazed at me with a wide smile on her wrinkled lips… she said to me: “It was me who was reading to you when you were little.”
I replied: "The time has come for me to give back a little of what you have done for me. So don't trouble yourself, Mom."
We talked a lot during dinner. Nothing unusual, but… it was old stories and new ones…
Without realizing it, time slipped by and we didn't notice that midnight had passed.
On our return, at her door she said to me: “I agree to another outing, but this time I’m the one who’s paying!” … I kissed her hand and said goodbye to her.
A few days later, Mom died of a heart attack... it happened so quickly that I didn't have time to do anything for her.
A few days later, I received a letter posted by the restaurant where we had that dinner… with a handwritten note saying: “I paid in advance because I knew I wouldn’t be there… the important thing is that the meal is paid for two people, you and your wife. You will never know the importance of that night for me… I love you, my son!”
At that moment, I truly understood what the word “love” means, and… “I love you,” and…
what the expression of this love for the other signifies.
Nothing is more important than parents, especially the mother… give them the time they deserve.
This is a Divine right and their own right, and it cannot be deferred.
After reading this story, I was reminded of the story of the man who asked Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): “My mother is very old and can no longer move. She is completely dependent on me. I carry her everywhere, even to relieve herself, and sometimes she cannot hold it and soils me while I am carrying her. Do you think I have repaid my debt to her?”
Abdullah ibn Umar replied to him: “You have not even paid for a single contraction when she gave birth to you! For she does this, and you wish her death to relieve yourself, whereas you did so when you were small, and she wished you life.”

I want to be the reason why some of those who read it will change their behavior toward their parents.
