Meditation of the day
43. The Mental

The Mental

The magical tree that grants all wishes

The thinker is the creator with his thoughts; this is one of the most fundamental truths to be understood. Everything you experience is your creation. First you create it, then you experience it, and then you are trapped in the experience; for you do not know that the source of all exists within you.

One day, a man was traveling and by chance arrived in heaven. In the Indian conception of heaven, there are trees that fulfill all wishes, the Kalpatarus. You sit under one of them, and the moment you desire something, your wish is immediately realized; there is no interval between the desire and its fulfillment. You think, and immediately it is created; the thought automatically comes to fruition. These Kalpatarus are nothing but the symbol of the mind. The mind is creative, creative with its thoughts.

The man was tired and fell asleep under a magical tree. When he woke up, he was very hungry. “I would like to find some food,” and immediately, coming from nowhere and floating in the air, some food appeared, some delicious food; he immediately began to eat. Once he was full, another thought came to him; “If only I could have something to drink…” and since prohibition does not exist in paradise, immediately some delicious wine appeared.

Sipping his wine in the cool breeze of paradise, in the shade of the tree, he began to wonder: “What is going on? Am I dreaming, or are there ghosts around me playing tricks on me?” … and the ghosts appeared! They were ferocious, horrible, disgusting. He began to tremble, and a thought crossed his mind: “I am sure I am going to be killed, they are going to murder me,” and he was.

This ancient parable has a profound meaning. Your mind is the tree that grants all wishes; whatever you desire will come true sooner or later. Sometimes the interval is so long that you have completely forgotten that you ever wished for it. Sometimes it takes several years, or even several lifetimes, and it is no longer possible to trace the connection back to the source. But if you look more closely, you will discover that all your thoughts are creating you and your life. They create your hell and they create your paradise; they create your misfortune and they create your joy; they create the negative and the positive. Everyone is a magician, spinning and weaving a magical world around themselves... only to become trapped in it, the spider itself caught in its own web.

Once you understand this, things begin to change. Then you can have fun and turn your hell into a paradise; it is simply a matter of painting it with a different perspective. But if you love suffering so much, you can create as much of it as you want for your own satisfaction, but then do not complain, because you know it is your creation, your painting, and you cannot hold anyone else responsible for it.

It is your entire responsibility. It is then that a new possibility arises: you can cease to create the world. There is no need to create heaven and hell, no need to create at all. The creator can relax, withdraw.

Withdrawing from the mind is meditation.

Meditation of the day
51. Letting Go of the Past

Letting Go of the Past

Let the dead bury their dead

Gather your courage; the journey has already begun. Even if you turn back, you will not find the old shore; even if you turn back, those old toys will be of no use to you now—you are done with them; you know they are only toys. It is reality that you must now seek, that you must investigate; it is not far away, it is within you.

The man who lives in relation to the past necessarily feels boredom, a kind of absurdity and anxiety: “What am I doing here? Why am I continuing to live? What will happen tomorrow? The same thing as today? What happened today was a repetition of what happened yesterday, so what? Why drag myself from the cradle to the grave following the same routine?”

This suits buffaloes and donkeys perfectly, for they have no memory of the past and no idea of the future. They do not get bored, for boredom requires a certain consciousness. This consciousness knows that you have done it before, that you are doing it again, and that you will do it again tomorrow; because you do not get out of the past, because you do not let it die, you keep it alive. This is the dilemma everyone faces in life, and the only solution is to let the past die. There is a beautiful story in the life of Jesus.

Early in the morning, he arrived at the edge of a lake; the sun had not yet risen, and a fisherman was about to cast his nets. Jesus placed a hand on his shoulder and said to him: “How much longer will you keep doing this, every day, every morning, noon and evening, just catching fish? Do you think that life is only made for this?”

"I had never thought about it," the fisherman replied, "but the fact that you are asking makes me realize that life should be more than that." Jesus said to him: "If you follow me, I will teach you to fish for men rather than for fish." The man looked Jesus in the eyes... what depth, what sincerity, so much love that you cannot doubt this man, such a great silence around him that you cannot say no to this man. The fisherman cast his net into the water and followed Jesus.

As they were leaving the town, a man came running and said to the fisherman: “Your father, who had been ill for a long time, has just died. Go home!”

The fisherman asked Jesus, “Just give me three days so that I can perform the funeral rites as a son must when his father dies.”

Here is the answer I would like you to remember: Jesus said to the fisherman, “Let the dead bury their dead, and you, follow me.”

What does he mean? “The whole city is full of dead people, they will take care of his dead father. Your presence is not needed, come with me.”

At every moment, something dies. Do not be collectors of antiquities; abandon what is dead. Go with life, flow with life with your totality, with your intensity, and you will never encounter any dilemma, any problem.

To love without dependency and without any constraints whatsoever is so much more enriching, more serene, and more enriching…

Friendship card:

First of all, meditate, be happy; thus much love will come of its own accord. Then being with others is beautiful, and being alone is also beautiful. Then it is simple. You do not depend on anyone else, and you do not make others dependent on you.
It is still always a friendship, an affection; it never becomes an attachment, it is always a relationship. You are in a relationship, but you do not create a marriage. Marriage is born of fear, relationship is born of love. You are in a relationship; as long as things are going wonderfully, you share, and if you see that the time has come to part ways because your paths diverge at this crossroads, you say goodbye with great gratitude for all that the other has been for you, for all the joys and pleasures and all the beautiful moments you have shared together.
Without tearing, without pain, you simply part ways.

Comment:

The branches of these two flowering trees intertwine, and their fallen flowers mingle on the ground in beautiful colors. It is as if heaven and earth were connected by a bridge of love.
And yet they stand in their individuality, each rooted in the ground with their own connections to the earth. In this way, they represent the essence of true friends, mature, at ease with one another, natural. There is no insistence in their connection, no need, no desire to change the other. This card indicates an ability to enter into this quality of friendship. As you go along, you may notice that you are no longer interested in the dramas and romances in which others are involved. This is not a loss.
It is the birth of a higher, more affectionate quality, sustained by the fullness of experience. It is the birth of a love that is truly unconditional, without expectation or demand.

Good meditation

The Mahamudra Circle

Sexuality holds great secrets, and the first of these secrets—and you will realize this if you meditate—is that joy appears because sexuality disappears. And every time you experience these moments of joy, time also disappears, and if you meditate on this, the mind also disappears; these are the qualities of meditation.

My own observation is that the first glimpses of the state of meditation in the world must have been realized through sexuality; there is no other possibility. Meditation had to come to life through sexuality; if you understand it, if you delve into it, if you do not use it as a drug, it is the most meditative phenomenon.

So gradually, as understanding grows, desire fades, and one day one discovers a great freedom when the desire for sex no longer haunts you. Then one is at peace, silent, deeply oneself; the lack of the other has disappeared. One can still make love if one chooses to, but it is no longer a need; it becomes a kind of sharing.

When two lovers experience a profound sexual orgasm, they merge into one another; then the woman is no longer the woman, the man is no longer the man; they become simply like the circle of yin and yang, meeting each other, mingling with each other, dissolving into each other while forgetting their own identity… This is why love is so beautiful. This state is called mudra… this state of deep sexual union is called mudra, and the state of ultimate orgasm with the Whole is called Mahamudra, the great orgasm.

Orgasm is a state in which your body is no longer felt as matter; it vibrates like energy, like electricity. It vibrates so profoundly, from its very foundations, that you completely forget it is material. It becomes an electrical phenomenon; it is an electrical phenomenon. Today, physicists say that matter does not exist, that matter is merely an appearance; fundamentally, what exists is electricity, not matter. In orgasm, you reach the deepest layer of your body where matter no longer exists, but only waves of energy; you become a dancing, vibrating energy, and in this vibration you no longer feel any limits, you no longer have a material body, and your beloved vibrates as well.

And little by little, if the partners love each other, if they surrender to one another, they also surrender to this moment of pulsation, of vibration, of pure energy, without feeling any fear…

For when the body loses its limits and becomes ethereal, it is somewhat like death, when the substance of the body dissipates and only energy remains, a very subtle rhythm, and you then discover that it is as if you were not there. One can only feel this in a state of profound love.

Love is like death: you die with regard to your material image, you die insofar as you think you are a body, you die as a body, and you unfold as energy, as vital energy.

When the husband and wife, the lovers or the partners begin to vibrate in rhythm, when the beats of their hearts and their bodies unite, it becomes a harmony and orgasm arrives; then they are no longer two. This is the symbol of Yin and Yang; the yin penetrating the yang and the yang penetrating the yin, like the man in the woman and the woman in the man. From now on they form a circle and vibrate in unison, pulsating together, their hearts and their beats are no longer separate, they have become a melody, a harmony. This is the most beautiful of musics; the others, in comparison, are but pale reflections, shadows.

The vibration of the two in one is orgasm. When the same thing happens, not with another person but with the entire existence, then it is Mahamudra, then it is the great orgasm.

Hello everyone

On this day of “Easter Holidays”

I am sharing this text with you!! TO MEDITATE ON!!

Even if you have broken your promises a thousand times

Pain, suffering, misery; none of this should be taken seriously, because the more seriously you take it, the harder it will be to get through it. The less serious you are… the more you will be able to pass through suffering, through the dark night, singing. And if one can pass through suffering, through the dark night, singing and dancing, why torment yourself unnecessarily?

Make this trip from here to there a wonderful opportunity to laugh.

There is a very beautiful poem by Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, one of the greatest Sufi masters who ever lived, which says this:

Come, come, whoever you are,

Vagabonds, disciples, passionate seekers, whatever it may be…

Our caravan is not one of despair,

Come even if you have broken your vows a thousand times

Come, come, come back again.

Remember that wonderful poem: “Our caravan is not that of despair.” I can say the same: our caravan is not that of despair; it is a celebration, the celebration of life. People become religious out of despair, and one who becomes religious out of despair does so for a false reason, and if the very beginning is false, the rest cannot be right.

Become religious through joy, through the experience of the beauty that surrounds you, from the immense gift of life that God has given you. Become religious through gratitude and thankfulness. Your temples, your churches, your mosques, and your ashrams are full of unhappy people. They have turned your temples into hells; they are there because they are anguished. They do not know God, they are not interested in Him; they are not concerned with truth, there is no quest. They are simply there to be consoled and comforted, and as a result, they look for anyone who can teach them a cheap belief to patch up their lives, to hide their wounds, to conceal their misery. They are there to seek some false satisfactions.

Our caravan is not one of despair; it is the temple of joy, song, dance, music, creativity, love, and life. It does not matter if you have broken all the rules, rules of conduct, of morality. In fact, anyone with any courage must necessarily break these rules.

I agree with Jalaluddin Rumi when he says: "Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times."

Intelligent people must necessarily break their vows often, because life is in constant change, situations evolve, and commitments are often made under duress; perhaps out of fear of hell or desire for heaven, respectability in society… this does not come from the deepest part of your heart. When something comes from your own inner being, it is never broken. But then it is never a vow, it is simply a phenomenon like breathing.

Come, come again!

Everyone is welcome, unconditionally, no requirements are necessary.

The time has come for a great revolt against all established religions. Being religious is necessary in the world, but not the religions themselves: no more Hindus, no more Christians, no more Muslims, simply purely religious people, people who have great respect for themselves.

Hello everyone,

Those who say, “We are waiting for an opportunity,” are deceivers, deceiving no one but themselves. The opportunity will not come tomorrow; it is already here and has always been here. It was already here before you were here.

Existence is an opportunity, being is an opportunity. Do not say: “Tomorrow I will meditate, tomorrow I will love, tomorrow I will dance with existence.” Why tomorrow? Tomorrow never comes. Why not now? Why postpone? Procrastination is a trick of the mind; it leaves you in hope, and in the meantime the opportunity slips away, and in the end you will reach a dead end: death, and there will be no more opportunity. And this has happened many times in the past.

You are not new here; you were born and you died many, very many times, and each time the mind played the same trick on you, yet you have still learned nothing.

Best regards

Good evening, Mamyol!

This is in response to your post “Living fully”

The aspect of tomorrow belongs to the realm of hope, and without hope we remain anchored in the past, so yes, let us know how to live in the present, by seizing all the present opportunities and not those tied to a perhaps "occasional or opportunistic" future, for life is not a flea-market haggling, life must be lived and savored with full teeth in the present moment.

Best regards
Kisses

The magician.
